Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is a Germany-based knowledge-led platform focused on sustainable and inclusive landscapes. Operated by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), GLF fights for the sustainable future of our planet, working together with UNEP, World Bank, and Charter Members. To further protect the environment, GLF started cutting down the number of in-person events back in 2019. In search of a reliable, accessible, and budget-friendly remote interpretation solution for virtual conferences, GLF turned to Interactio to make one of the biggest environmental conferences happen.

GLF Bonn Digital Conference set out to reimagine the future of our planet in a carbon-saving, fully digital event with 130 virtual meetups and 60 digital sessions led by 300 speakers.
For GLF, the stakes were high. The organizers expected thousands of participants from all over the world and millions of users waiting to watch the conference on social media. The three key concerns were audio quality, speed of interpretation, and technical execution. The organizers also hesitated whether Interactio could communicate their core values: flexibility, freedom, and inclusivity.
