Building bilingual communication with Brenner Base Tunnel

Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT SE) is a global-scale project that connects Europe through the longest and the most important underground railway communication between Austria and Italy. The railway crossing under the Alps, in construction now, will replace the current time and resource-demanding transportation through the mountains, cutting environmental impact and making logistics easier than ever. 

BBT SE is a partly Austrian, partly Italian company that collaborates with the European Union on this high-profile project of key European infrastructure. Committed to fully multilingual communication, they conduct meetings in Italian and German, with the occasional addition of English.

About the event

From internal documents to one-on-one meetings, all operations in BBT SE are multilingual. Even before the pandemic, BBT SE looked into remote solutions: traveling back and forth between the Austrian and Italian headquarters was time-consuming and not environmentally friendly, clashing with their mission and vision for the tunnel's future.

As physical meetings became impossible during the pandemic, searching for an RSI provider became a necessity rather than a preference. BBT SE looked for solutions with a high level of cybersecurity and confidentiality and an easy-to-use platform that they can manage independently.
