FAQ

How it works

What do the participants need to do to join the meeting?

To join the multilingual remote participant tool, participants should follow the link to the event provided by the organizer. To listen to the audio stream only, you can download our installable app (ios/Android) and log in with the personalized code of the event provided by the organizer. During the meeting, participants need to have a stable Internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) to follow the interpretation.

Which devices can I use?

Smartphones (to listen to the audio only), tablets, laptops, or personal computers (to follow the video feed and listen to the audio). Android, iOS, MacOS, and Windows systems are all supported.

How much battery does the Interactio App use on my smartphone?

An average battery consumption spent on listening to the audio stream is 5-10% per hour. However, your individual battery consumption can depend on a number of factors such as locked screen, capacity of the battery, and relative age of your phone. Just to give you a quick comparison, the Interactio App uses less of your battery per hour than an ordinary phone call.

How much battery does the Interactio multilingual participant platform drain?

The exact number is impossible to calculate. Your battery usage will depend on the individual capabilities and event load. If you stream the video, you will use more battery in comparison to streaming the audio.

What equipment do I need as a listener?

As a listener who only listens to the audio interpretation from the Interactio audio streaming app, you can use a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or stationary computer. The device of your choice has to be connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data). For your convenience, we recommend using earbuds or headphones.

As an active participant who interacts in the online meeting, you will need to use a tablet, laptop, or stationary computer. The device of your choice has to be connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data). For the video stream, you can use the default camera on your device or an external camera for better video quality.
